Botox/Fillers in NE Calgary

As we age, skin loses elasticity. Years of smiling, laughing, frowning, and concentrating can result in lines and grooves that persist on our faces even when relaxed. Botox/Dysport/Xeomen use naturally occurring compounds to temporarily relax the muscles that create these lines. This results in a refreshed youthful look. The result can last 3-6 months depending on the patient. The most common areas treated for aesthetics are the crow’s feet (around the eyes), between the eyebrows and the forehead.

Therapeutic uses for botox include treatment of migraines and TMJ pain resulting in dramatic relief for affected patients.

Dermal fillers (such as Juvederm and Restylane) are used to restore, enhance, and shape the features of the face. This treatment will typically last 9-18 months and involves injected hyaluronic acid (a natural component of skin) into areas such as lips, folds around the mouth, chin, and jaws. Fillers can be used to increase the volume of these areas that have been lost through the ageing process or to elevate areas that may have always been deficient (such as thin lips).
