Family Dentistry in NE, Calgary

We know you want the best for your family, so as a NE Calgary family dentist, we make education a priority. We all want your child to develop good brushing and flossing habits that will last them a lifetime, and you want their teeth and gums to stay healthy. Let’s work together to keep your child’s smile at its best.

To ensure your family has a positive experience at the dentist, children can play games on our Playstation game consoles or watch television in our playroom just off of our lobby. There are books to read and toys to play with, too, to help our small patients feel comfortable in our office.

Here are some ways you can help your child develop a healthy relationship with dental care:

Explain to your child why brushing and flossing is important in keeping your teeth strong and healthy. Talk about how sugar can stick to your teeth if it isn’t brushed away.  Nutrition is important for your child’s oral health, our team will guide you with some other valuable tips to keep them on the right track.

Make it a family affair. Demonstrate to your kids what proper brushing and flossing technique looks like, and help them learn to do it themselves.

Be positive and calm during conversations about dental visits, even if you’re not a fan of coming to the dentist. Keep all comments relaxed in front of your child. They need to see that going to the dentist is nothing to fear or stress about.

Education for your children is important. By showing your children videos or reading books about the dentist and keeping a positive attitude you can ensure that every visit is a good one. Our experienced team of NE Calgary dental professionals love seeing children and are always striving to make your visits to the office positive experiences.
